These were all drawn in the same style and follow that of the characters and rest of the film.
As well as the props, a set layout was designed.
These proved invaluable when it came to creating the environment as it gave me the blueprints i would need to create a 3d environemt.

Here are some of the the initial props i made. the bucket did not make it into the final film as it was no really necessary.
As a prospector you would expect the character to have a pick axe so i had to make sure this was in the film.
And the stool just made the scene feel more like a campsite.
When we had first talked about having an outdoor environment, i decided to have a goo at creating mountains and water. This was more as atest than for the final thing. Howver after seeing the result i was not too keen on how it was looking and wanted a more artoony look that fitted better with the storyboards.

This is the rough shape we wanted to get the main cliff looking, however in this the rocks do no look natural, so rather than sculpting the geometry.
I decided that a texture with a bump map would work best.
i had to outsource this as i was unable to get the results i wanted. jamie Perrin from the masters course seemed confident he could make the rock the way i needed. He came back to me with this.
However it was far too bright. When texturing it he had added an ambient colour.
All i had to do was delete this node in the hypershade and it now looked like this.

The prop model i am most please with it the tent, i feel i reall caught the style that josh had designed in the concept work.
